PAQi

Universal Industrial Runtime & Control Platform

PAQi is LM3 Technologies’ flexible industrial control and runtime platform built for inspection, automation, communication, and traceability on the factory floor. It manages cameras, sensors, PLC handshakes, operator workflows, result data, and machine logic within one deployable system, allowing it to serve as far more than a vision controller alone. From compact standalone stations to larger networked production systems, PAQi provides a scalable, cost-effective platform that can be expanded with more advanced processing and GPU-enabled architecture as application needs grow.

Runtime Control, Inspection Execution & System Logic

PAQi serves as the machine-level runtime layer of the system, coordinating image acquisition, trigger handling, inspection execution, operator interaction, job logic, and result processing inside live production workflows. Rather than functioning only as a camera interface, PAQi operates between plant-floor hardware and the manufacturing process, allowing one platform to manage inspection logic, machine states, barcode-linked workflows, and structured production decisions in real time.

Log

Trigger

PAQi receives the event that initiates the runtime cycle and determines when the system should begin the active inspection or validation sequence.

  • PLC-driven trigger input

  • Sensor-based cycle start

  • Button or footswitch initiation

  • Robot event synchronization

  • Barcode-linked trigger logic

  • Software-sequenced trigger states

  • High-state digital input handling

  • Trigger tied to active job state

Acquire

PAQi captures the active image set and related input conditions required for the current job, station, or inspection zone.

  • Single-camera acquisition

  • Multi-camera synchronized capture

  • Job-specific camera assignment

  • View-specific image collection

  • Barcode value ingestion

  • Sensor-state capture

  • Trigger-conditioned acquisition timing

  • Runtime image buffering and storage

Execute

PAQi runs the configured inspection logic for the part, process state, and selected workflow under one runtime structure.

  • Recipe-based job execution

  • Part-specific workflow control

  • Barcode-driven program selection

  • Rule-based vision logic

  • AI inference execution

  • Hybrid logic sequencing

  • Multi-view task partitioning

  • Threshold and logic evaluation

  • Job-linked camera logic selection

Decide

PAQi converts inspection outputs into a machine-level result that the production process can act on immediately.

  • Pass state generation

  • Fail state generation

  • Fault-state generation

  • Multi-camera result aggregation

  • Single-cycle outcome consolidation

  • Job-specific decision thresholds

  • Inspection class separation

  • Output state tied to process logic

Communicate

PAQi exchanges runtime results and state information with the rest of the machine through configured control and communication layers.

  • PLC handshake logic

  • Pass/fail output mapping

  • Fault-state output signaling

  • Inspection-in-progress state

  • Machine-ready state output

  • Robot timing coordination

  • Job-changeover signaling

  • Result transfer to downstream logic

  • HMI status and defect display

  • Peripheral and light control

Log

PAQi stores each runtime transaction as a structured production record for traceability, review, and reporting.

  • Image record storage

  • Event logging

  • Timestamp capture

  • Serial-linked records

  • Job-linked records

  • Pass/fail record storage

  • SQL-backed result structures

  • Local storage support

  • Network export support

  • Historical review readiness

  • Audit-trail support

  • Metadata retention per cycle
